“A Promise of Hope”: The unlikely beginnings of Truehope

Some children inherit “the family nose.” Autumn Stringam and her brother, Joseph, inherited the family bipolar disorder, a severe mood disorder that led to their mother’s and grandfather’s suicides.

Autumn, at 22, was psychotic and in a psychiatric hospital on suicide watch; Joseph, at 15, was prone to violent episodes so terrifying, the family feared for their lives. But after they began taking an all-natural nutritional supplement of 36 vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids, Autumn’s and Joseph’s symptoms disappeared.

Today they both lead normal, productive lives.

They said it couldn’t be done: growing new brain cells with nutrition

This is a guest article  written by Dr. Estelle Toby Goldstein, a board certified psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist/researcher in Orange County, California, USA.

For as long as life is in your body, there is neurogenesis in your brain.

Yes, this means you can grow new brain cells.

Knowledge changes. When I became a neurosurgeon, most scientists who studied the brain were convinced that after a brief time when oxygen could not get to the brain, generally one to three minutes,

Why EMPowerplus is better than generic multivitamins

A common statement we hear from our EMPowerplus critics is that Truehope vitamins are far too expensive and you can get the same vitamins at Walmart (although really you can get multivitamins just about anywhere) for far less money.

Now, if all things were equal (production process, composition, etc), this argument of our detractors would be right: our micronutrient formulation would be more expensive. But are all things equal?

How much EMPowerplus should I be taking?

A common question we get from new and potential customers is how much EMPowerplus to take each day. This is a difficult question to answer; it’s too complex of an issue to give a simple, inclusive solution.

Mental health disorders affect everyone differently, influenced by environment, genetics, neurotransmitter levels, severity, and so forth. So if mental health disorders affect each person differently, it would make sense that there’s no across-the-board solution for managing them.

This is why it’s also important that persons with mental disorders approach management of those disorders holistically when seeking out solutions,

Choline may be able to reduce anxiety levels

In 2009, Norwegian researchers published a study in the The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition regarding the role that the essential nutrient choline plays in mental health.

Studying nearly 6000 subjects, researchers discovered that levels of choline were related to anxiety levels: those with lower choline levels had higher levels of anxiety, and those with higher choline levels had lower levels of anxiety.
