Staying Healthy With An Unreliable Food Supply
The food industry was recently hit with another major recall.
Cantaloupes distributed by Walmart and Aldi stores, among other chains, were found to have possible salmonella contamination. This is just one in a long list of recent food-borne illnesses and recalls that have put the safety of our food supply under scrutiny.
It’s time to start taking control of our own health by supplementing our diets with the vital nutrients that we may not be, or possibly can’t be getting from our food alone.
Unfortunately, issues with our food supply happen quite often. Last year, a total of 289 major recalls occurred, up slightly from the 2021 calendar year. That averages out to nearly one major recall per day.
Even The ‘Safe’ Food Supply Is Unreliable
While these recall scares are concerning, perhaps the bigger problem is the lack of nutrients that are being supplied to us by our food. Intensive farming practices and food processing have led to a depletion of natural vitamins and minerals in our food.
