Earlier this year, researchers in New Zealand published a follow-up to randomized controlled trials they completed in 2009 and 2010 in which they studied the effects of EMPowerplus in 80 adults with ADHD.
Researchers contacted all the original participants and had them complete clinician-rated questionnaires. Of those 80 adults, 72 participated.
In general, participants had experience regression in psychiatric function compared to the measures taken at the end of the trials, but they were still doing better than they had been at the start of the trials.
Researchers investigated the dominant treatment each participant had been taking since the end of the trial to determine its effect on the outcome.
Of those who had continued taking EMPowerplus, performed better than those who had switched to medication or had discontinued EMPowerplus.
This is great news for Truehope participants, showing that not only does EMPowerplus perform better than placebo in managing ADHD, continuing to take EMPowerplus has greater positive effects on mental health than discontinuing it or going back to medication.
This follow-up research is in line of other research that makes EMPowerplus the most research micronutrient formula in the world.
