EMPowerplus helps attention and behaviour in children

Earlier this year, Canadian and American researchers published a study in Journal of Medical Case Reports showing positive effects of EMPowerplus on children with behavioural problems.

The families of 2 boys (ages 5 and 6) and 1 girl (age 14) participated in a 12-week pilot trial of EMPowerplus. All children attending private school that researchers had been considering as a potential source for research.

All children had difficulties in the classroom. The younger two were hyperactive and unable to focus on what was taught in the classroom. The oldest child was aggressive and had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, ADHD, and oppositional defiant disorder.

During the 12-week trial, the children’s parents provided weekly ratings on the parent-report Child Mania Rating Scale. The children took EMPowerplus daily and rated of how they felt each day. The researchers found significantly improved behaviour among all 3 children.

According to the researchers, because the “children . . . experienced impressive changes”, more “research and clinical exploration” is needed.
