Research: Treating traumatic brain injury with EMPowerplus

We’re happy to announce another research article has been published on EMPowerplus!

Canadian researchers published their case report in Annals of Psychiatry and Mental Health last month. The case followed a 35-year-old man who had sustained a severe traumatic brain injury 8 years prior to the study. Health care providers had helped him gain control of most of his traumatic brain injury symptoms, except one. He had episodes when he would lose control of his emotions. Psychiatrists, unable to manage it, diagnosed it as permanent.

During the study, researchers monitored his baseline symptoms for 5 weeks. After the baseline period, they began him on a trial of Truehope EMPowerplus. After 3 months, his mood stabilized. After a year, the man reported that his emotional control had returned to the levels he had enjoyed prior to the traumatic brain injury.

Today, this man has established his own business and has improved relationships with his family.

This is just one more example among the growing body of research showing the positive benefit EMPowerplus can have on mental health.
